Outdoor Living, Exclusively

Decks, pergolas, screened porches, under-deck systems, and full backyard transformations. We don't do bathrooms. We don't do roofing. We picked a lane — that's why we're better in it than the contractor who does both.

Maintenance Free, Always

No wood decking, no wood railing — ever. TimberTech AZEK Advanced PVC, Deckorators mineral-based composite, and Westbury aluminum railing. The investment you make now should still look new in 2046.

Exceed Building Codes

Less than 14" joist spacing. over built beams. Owens Corning fiberglass stair stringers on every build. We overbuild on purpose — the cost difference is small, the callback cost isn't.

Two-story house with a stone foundation, beige siding, and a dark roof, surrounded by trees, featuring a large outdoor deck with porch furniture and a golf cart underneath.

Custom Decks

Custom-designed, built tighter than code, framed in whatever holds up best for your site — pressure-treated, LVL, steel, aluminum, or fiberglass. Capped on all four sides. No wood decking/railing, ever.

Water Management System

Under-deck drainage and dry ceiling systems that turn the wasted space below your deck into a usable outdoor room. We build our own EPDM membrane system — the same material commercial roofers use on flat roofs.

Full Backyard Transformations

Deck. Patio. Pergola. Lighting. Fire. Designed and built as one cohesive project — phased to your budget if you want. One contract, one timeline, one contractor to call.

Landscaped backyard with a house, garage, and driveway, featuring trees, flowers, and garden beds. A deck, pond, and paved walking paths are visible, along with labeled plants and trees.

HOW WE BUILD

Wooden deck framework being built on a grassy lawn with trees in the background.

Manufacturers say 16". We frame at 14".

Most composite manufacturers say their deck boards can span 16 inches on center. In Virginia summer humidity, that spacing turns a great board into a spongy one. We frame at 14 inches on every build. The board manufacturer thinks we're overdoing it. Your bare feet will disagree. That's one detail. There are about forty more like it — joist tape on top of every beam, picture-frame borders with Cortex screws and color-matched plugs, GTape flashing behind every ledger, fiberglass stringers on every stair, and not one piece of wood touching the ground anywhere on your deck.

STRAIGHT TALK

We Don’t Do Repairs.

If you call us about a deck repair, we'll be straight with you about why we won't take the job. After tearing down many many decks, we've never once found existing framing worth keeping. Posts rotted in the ground. Joists compromised on top. Footers that never existed. Spending real money on premium decking over compromised framing is a bad investment, and the failure isn't a question of if — it's when. We won't take your money if it won't last. What you'll get from us instead is an honest conversation about whether a full replacement makes sense, and why.
